MILAGROS PEREDA - based in Argentina
It is an argentinean based brand, built in 2019, which promotes and
adds value to local artisan work, in an eco-friendly way.
Every piece is handmade with natural fibres and artfully blends paint- ing, printing and pleating. The use of unique argentinean materials, like hand made felt, makes each piece different to the other.
It has a strong approach to knittwear, where every garment is knitted by hand, by local artisans and weavers, and the wool comes from the designers family farm.
It is a transparent brand, which has its focus on being kind with the environment, as well as with the society it is embeded in.
CRUDO Collection- commitment to sustainability, and craftsmanship, placing value in handmade pieces, which cannot be repeated. It is a personal project, where all the wool comes from my family's farm, a natural reserve in Entre Ríos, focused on care and conservation. This wool was burned after each shearing for not knowing how to take advantage of it. Together with a group of women who live in the farm, we collect, wash, and spin the wool. The spinning is completely by hand, with a spindle / spinning wheel. The objective is for it to be a circular project, with an environmental and social approach, providing work as well as generating natural raw material. The knitted pieces are completly biodegradable, since the wool does not undergo any chemical treatment.
The fabrics are in their natural state, hence the name CRUDO (RAW). Some of the felt is handmade, by a textile artisan, and some of the rest it is industrial natural felt, respecting the original colours of the wool.
